What We Believe About the Bible

The Bible is the infallible Word of God and the authority for salvation and Christian living. See: II Timothy 3:15-17 .

What We Believe About God

There is one God, who has revealed Himself as our Father, in His Son Jesus Christ, and as the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is God manifested in flesh. He is both God and man. See: Deuteronomy 6:4; Ephesians 4:4-6; Colossians 2:9; I Timothy 3:16 .

What We Believe About Worship

As a Spirit-filled, Bible-based church, we seek to worship God in spirit and truth according to worship practices found in the Bible. See: 1 Timothy 2:8, Psalms 47:1, Ephesians 5:19, Psalms 66:1, Acts 4:24, Psalms 149:3, 1 Corinthians 14:26

Brief History

Rev. Wilmoth began his ministry as the Youth Pastor at the First Pentecostal Church in Durham, NC in 1996. He was joined in this ministry by his wife in March of 2000. He has completed his ministerial training with Texas Bible College and is an ordained minister with the Worldwide Pentecostal Fellowship.

During Rev. Wilmoth’s tenure as Youth Pastor the youth group had a regular attendance of over eighty youth between the ages of 12-20, and over one hundred on special occasions. While leading the Youth Group, the Wilmoth’s have also participated in Sunday School teaching, personal Bible Studies, Rest Home Ministry, Bus Ministry, Prison Ministry, Choir Ministry, and Youth Chorale Ministry. Mrs. Wilmoth has also been involved in the praise team, and the youth chorale leader at the church as well.

While childhood friends, Pastor and Mrs. Wilmoth have been happily married for twenty years, and have three children, Reagan, Ryland, and Ryder.

There has always been a special place in their hearts for Roxboro, and Rev. Wilmoth felt a call to this community, doors were opened, and they started the current assembly in May of 2007. They are excited for what God has done thus far in Roxboro and hope and pray with God’s help that Roxboro’s First Pentecostal Church will be a haven for souls seeking a closer walk with the Master.
